VSLO (Visiting Student Learning Opportunities)

The VSLO program is a program that is offered by the association of american medical colleges (AAMC) which helps medical and public health students to connect with institutions offering short-term elective opportunities that can enhance their medical education. These elective opportunities include observerships, summer research programs, clinical opportunities, away rotations, away electives, clinical rotations and visiting opportunities.

Offered by participating host institutions in the U.S. and around the world, elective opportunities are available in teaching hospitals, community clinics, and urban or rural sites and are open to pre-clinical, clinical, or final-year students, as determined by the host institution.

To gain access please send an email to Dr Sherif ElSeginy ( ) including:

¨   Your full name as spelled in your passport.

¨   Your picture.

¨   Your mobile phone number.

¨   Your class. (طالب بأي سنة دراسية)

¨   A copy of your Faculty of Medicine ID  (For interns(إمتياز)), upload a copy of your 6th year faculty ID.

¨   A copy of your passport.

¨   A list of countries that you would like to visit.

¨   A brief note on why you are applying and your motivation for spending time abroad.

After you send the email, you’ll receive an invite link from VSLO, which you can use to create an account, and apply for different rotations of your choice.
